Kilmarnock Shotokai was
established in 1984 by Chief Instructor Alan Neish
5th Dan,
one of the two
Technical Directors of Shin-do Shotokai.
Alan has practiced Shotokai
Karate for over 30years having practiced under the
guidance of Harada Sensei, Colin Reeve and Billy
Haggerty.
The club has a junior and a senior section which
meet as follows:
Wednesday: The Centre, Stewarton,

Juniors practice between 7.30pm - 8.30pm, followed
by seniors from 7.30pm - 9.30pm.
The club also has two coaches
at 3rd Dan level in Bill Mitchel and Bob Smith. The
juniors are primarily coached by a father and son
partnership; Jim and Gary Cleland who are
experienced 1st Dans.
